What changes in your PDF

Does compression keep text searchable?
Standard mode preserves existing text, links and forms. An image-only copy loses searchable and selectable text. This tool does not add OCR.
Can every PDF reach my target without losing quality?
No. Some PDFs need more space to stay readable. The tool reports missed targets and keeps every page.
Can I make a Word document or photo smaller here?

Is there a page or file limit?
The account-free preview supports up to 3 pages per PDF. Existing paid access can allow up to 20 pages, with an online access check. The file limit is 50 MB. Password-protected or digitally signed PDFs need an unlocked, unsigned source copy.
Why is the result the same size?
The PDF may already be compact or use unsupported image encodings. If no smaller valid copy is found, you get the original. For scans, consider the optional image-only mode.
